½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup (120ml) buttermilk
1 ½ cups (180g) apples, peeled and diced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for apples)
½ cup (60g) powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch pan with parchment.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, add eggs and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk.
4. Toss apples with cinnamon, brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon flour; fold half into batter.
