Description

Blackberry Banana Ice Cream is a creamy, fruity dessert bursting with natural sweetness and tangy berry flavor. Made with ripe bananas and juicy blackberries, it’s rich, refreshing, and easy to make at home. This no-fuss frozen treat is perfect for summer days, family gatherings, or a healthy sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale

3 ripe bananas – peeled and sliced

1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries – rinsed and stems removed

1 cup heavy cream – for creaminess

1 cup whole milk – balances the texture

3/4 cup granulated sugar – sweetens and enhances flavor

2 teaspoons vanilla extract – adds warmth and aroma

1 tablespoon lemon juice – keeps fruit flavors bright

Pinch of salt – balances sweetness

Instructions

1. Peel and slice bananas. Rinse blackberries and toss with lemon juice.

2. Blend bananas, blackberries, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Fold in heavy cream, milk, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

4. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours to chill.

5. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes until soft-serve consistency.

6. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours.

7. Let sit for 5–10 minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

Optional mix-ins: dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a swirl of berry sauce.

For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut cream and almond milk for the cream and milk.
