Description
This cinnamon swirl apple bread is a soft and moist treat bursting with sweet apples and warm cinnamon. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, it’s easy to make and sure to please the whole family.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
1 ½ cups peeled and diced apples
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla.
5. Mix in sour cream.
6. Combine dry ingredients with wet.
7. Fold in apples.
8. Layer batter and cinnamon sugar swirl in pan.
9. Swirl cinnamon sugar through batter.
10. Bake for 55–65 minutes.
11. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Freeze for longer storage.
Thaw before serving.
