This hearty Hamburger Rice Casserole combines tender ground beef, fluffy rice, and creamy sauce into one easy, comforting dish perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
2 cups beef broth
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, draining excess fat.
3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
4. Stir in rice, beef broth, soups, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
5. Pour mixture into greased baking dish.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes until rice is tender.
7. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese, bake uncovered 5-10 minutes until melted.
8. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Use quick-cooking brown rice to substitute white rice.
Add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
Freeze leftovers for up to 2 months.
