Ingredients
2 lbs (900g) ground beef
1 cup (150g) diced green bell pepper
1 cup (150g) diced yellow onion
2 cups (200g) shredded provolone cheese
1 cup (120g) breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
¼ cup (60ml) milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons ketchup
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment.
2. Sauté bell pepper and onion in oil for 5-7 minutes until soft, then cool.
3. Mix beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, veggies, and 1 cup cheese.
4. Press into the pan, spread ketchup on top, and bake for 50-60 minutes until 160°F.
5. Add remaining cheese in the last 10 minutes to melt, then rest for 10 minutes.
6. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Grill veggies for smokier flavor.
Use mozzarella for a milder taste.
Cover with foil if cheese browns too fast.
