Description

This moist and warmly spiced Pumpkin Spice Bread is easy to make and perfect for cozy breakfasts or snacks. Loaded with classic fall spices and pumpkin puree, it’s a seasonal favorite that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

¼ teaspoon ground cloves

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.

3. In a large bowl, beat the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

6. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for variation.

Use flax eggs and plant-based oil for a vegan version.
