Description

This easy steak and cheese garlic toast recipe combines tender steak slices with melted cheese on crispy garlic bread for a quick, indulgent meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin works best)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

4 slices of thick Texas toast or garlic bread

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

12 cloves garlic, minced

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded provolone or cheddar (optional mix)

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak slices and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sear for 2–3 minutes until just cooked. Remove from heat.

3. Mix butter and minced garlic in a small bowl. Spread the mixture over each slice of Texas toast.

4. Place toast on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden.

5. Remove toast, then pile cooked steak evenly on top of each slice.

6. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella and provolone cheese.

7. Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.

8. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden cheesy top. Watch carefully.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, then serve hot.

Notes

Use leftover steak to save time.

Serve hot for best texture and flavor.

Avoid microwaving leftovers to keep toast crispy.
